Linking your apps and getting data to Training Peaks

Updated: Nov 12, 2021

Training Peaks is where the training program and relevant material will be delivered.

We want to make sure that:

1) you can use your structured workout files by getting them to the right app or device

2) you can get your workout data loaded into Training Peaks

Accessing your structured workout files

Most, but not all, workouts are built with a structured workout file attached. The structured workout file is a guide and a timer to help you along. These structured workout files can be used in a couple of ways - either in Zwift or in your head unit (like a Garmin or Wahoo). The trick is how to get the structured workout file to your desired device. You do this by linking Training Peaks with an app that will move the workout file to where you want it.

Here are a few links to walk you through that process:

Structured workouts in Zwift - once linked you can both use the structured workout file and the workout data will load to Training Peaks automatically:

Structured workout to your Garmin:

You can then typically find the workout in your Garmin by going Menu > Training Plans or Workout

Structured workout to your Wahoo:

Zwift

If you have linked your Zwift and Training Peaks accounts to use the structured workouts then the workout files will upload automatically.

Using Garmin Connect Autosync to load files from your Garmin:

Getting your workout data into Training Peak from your Wahoo using the ELEMNT companion app:

Don't forget about Strava. If you want to track your annual mileage you won't want to miss out on all of your trainer mileage. You can link your Zwift and Strava accounts.
